Bridal Shoot

I do a number of bridal themed photo shoots throughout the year. This one is being showcased on the blog Green Wedding Shoes today!

I loved this shoot, it was one of the hottest days of the year so having the hair stay well was a bit of a nightmare! But it all worked out well in the end, and working with this team of people is always a pleasure!

The Oscars 2013

So…The oscars where on last night, when I was younger I used to love to watch the oscars, loved seeing all the celebrities, the outfits, the hair, the makeup, and the extravagant show. Lately the show has not been so extravagant and last night was no exception. There were some good moments (Adele singing, Shirley Bassey singing, and Barbra Streisand singing), there were a few surprise wins but all in all the show was pretty long and boring!
For the most part, for me it is all about the hair and makeup and the gowns. There were some lovely looks last night, for the most part everyone played it safe there was a lot of black and ivory, and then a spattering of red. Here is a pic of some of the most elegant looks, who’s look did you like the most?

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

Hansel-Gretel-Witch-Hunters-Poster-01

I went to see Hansel & Gretel last night and it actually wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The story follows a brother and sister witch hunting team, it has some kick ass moments and some groan moments, but all in all it is not a bad action film, and Famke [...]

Life of Pi

Just saw the movie “Life of Pi” based on the book of the same name. I read the book years ago and when I heard that they where making a movie out of it I wondered how they would do it, but leave it to Ang Lee to create a beautifully shot heartwarming film. For [...]

Topbox November

Topbox November

So I am pretty new to the Topbox thing and so far I’m liking it. Being a makeup artist there are always new products coming out that you want to try which can get very expensive! This box kinda solves that, for a monthly membership fee you get different samples every month, so I can [...]

The love/hate relationship with pinterest

They say the first step is admitting you have a problem….I have a bit of an addiction to pinterest When it first came out I thought it was a bit of a waste of time, why do I need to ‘pin’ pictures, if I am looking for something I can just do a search right? [...]

toronto_film_festival_logo_final_1

I am not talking about back to school (though it is kinda nice to be able to go to the mall and have it be mostly empty!) I am talking about the Toronto International Film Festival! I am a big movie junkie, that is a big reason why I got into doing movies, so a [...]
